Project Clean
Project Clean Cleans the D in the New Center Area in July!
Join us, the Woodward Avenue Action Association (WA3), and the New Center
Council of Detroit as we get down and dirty to clean the D on July 25th for their Clean the D initiative from 9:00am to 12:00pm.
We will be doing various beautification projects, such as picking up trash, weeding flower beds, and cleaning up graffiti, along Woodward in Detroit's historic New Center, making it a safer more beautiful place to live, work and play!
What to wear: As always, please dress according to the weather. Dress for dirt and/or paint. Hats, sunscreen and gloves recommended, as are sturdy shoes.
What will be Provided: Gloves, trash bags, snacks and t-shirts -- so please provide your t-shirt size when you sign up to volunteer.
If you can, please bring: small gardening tools (trowels, weed rakes, clippers) and water.
Directions: Please meet at 3011 West. Grand Boulevard | we will be working between Woodward, Second, Lothrop, and Baltimore

Want to Help Out More with Project Clean
than Just Volunteering at an Event?
We are looking for people to be Event Leads, and it's a lot easier than you might think! These volunteers would take on responsibilities of coordinating an event, which includes (but may not be limited to):
1. Gathering information on an organization and/or event.
2. Making contact with volunteer coordinator of organization/event and scheduling a work date and location.
3. Advertising for event by collecting info for the DSG website and emails.
4. Recruiting volunteers.
5. Being the point person the day of the event.
