DSG Shares provides volunteers with an opportunity to engage in service with a Detroit-area organization once per month, designed to address a specific social issue plaguing our community - hunger and homelessness. Each service learning project engages volunteers with community impact while educating them on the realities of hunger and homelessness in our community.

In the fourth Annual Jazzin on Jefferson Bike Tour, come see why Detroit Bikes! is one of the best reasons to see the city on two wheels. In a 4 hour excursion, our neighborhood tour will pass many landmarks including the Former Hudson Automotive Site, the Conner Creek Greenway, Chandler Park, East English Village, Sander's Ice Cream (40 min stop) in the Village of Grosse Pointe, Windmill Point and the Lake Shore district of Grosse Pointe, the Venetian canals of Detroit, Victoria Park, the Detroit River, and end at the beautiful Jefferson East Business District.

Located directly behind COBO Center, the Detroit Princess is Detroit’s newest addition to the beautifully renovated waterfront. The Detroit Princess opened in June 2005, and is cruising for a wonderful 5th season. The former Louisiana casino has been lovingly renovated into a 5 story dining experience complete with brass ceilings, chandeliers, and engraved mirrors. Come take a step back in time as you experience the sights of the beautiful Detroit/Windsor skylines, enjoying a live Motown show on a dinner cruise. The boat is enclosed with heating/air conditioning as needed, with outer decks for observing the gorgeous views of the Detroit and Windsor skylines from a unique perspective. Come witness the beautiful changes along the riverfront first hand!
