Suddenly, it's that time of year! Detroit Synergy's Shop Detroit project is back for a fifth year—and bigger than before. This year we're doing four—yes, four—shopping days in four different Detroit neighborhoods!

• November 29th: Downtown
• December 6th: Midtown/University & Cultural Center
• December 13th: Russell Industrial Center
• December 20th: Eastern Market

Looking to do more than just shop? Then we want YOU!

We need volunteers to help distribute flyers far and wide, deliver posters to merchants, and help staff our check-in table on each event day—two hour blocks are recommended, but you can take more shifts if you want! If you have already ordered a calendar, you can pick it up on the dates and locations listed below. If you haven't ordered one yet, you can still pay with a credit card online or purchase one at these events.

Ongoing Projects and Events

General Meetings provide the opportunity to find out about new projects, discover a new Detroit organization, and how to get involved with Detroit Synergy. Occurs the 2nd Thursday of every month @ 6:30pm at different locations around the city. See calendar as date approaches for more details.

Third Thursdays are a great opportunity to connect with members of the Detroit Synergy community. Whether you are new to the organization, or well-traveled on the Synergy circuit, you will feel welcome at this community networking event. And each month, we partner with a different Detroit Charity and collect donations for them. Occurs the 3rd Thursday of every month @ 6:30pm. Bus to Work Campaign: A Transit Project Want to help strengthen mass transit in metro Detroit? Is there a bus stop near your workplace? Sign-up to post an educational flier at your workplace that describes the local routes and the personal cost savings.  Its easy - just click here to get started and we'll produce a customized flier for you to post. Discussing Differences  is a collaboration between Detroit Synergy and The Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion (MRDI) to help Metro Detroiters break down racial and social barriers by using MRDI’s 'Trading Places' dialogue series. Interested participants can email the project leads at discussingdifferences@detroitsynergy.org

Pecha Kucha Night is a presentation format in which a presenter has 20 slides, and can only spend 20 seconds on each slide. Started in Tokyo, there are now "Pecha Kucha Nights" all around the world.  Help us start one in Detroit!
